The delegation, organized by the European Division of the Foreign Ministry and the Israeli Embassy in Berlin, aims to deepen future German leaders' understanding of the "Israeli story."
Establishing a Palestinian state would be the same as establishing a "Hamas terror state," Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said in a speech welcoming a delegation of young German leaders on Sunday.
The delegation is accompanied by Israel's Ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor.
"There is an obsession in Europe. While we are dealing with terrorist states in Lebanon, Gaza, and Yemen, they are proposing that we establish a Palestinian terror state in the heart of our small country," Sa'ar said, "A Palestinian state would be a Hamas terror state."
Marking 60 years of Israel-Germany relations
The delegation, organized by the European Division of the Foreign Ministry and the Israeli Embassy in Berlin, aims to deepen future German leaders' understanding of the "Israeli story."
The visit will also mark 60 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany.
As part of their trip, members of the delegation will visit sites that teach about the challenges Israel has faced, meet with senior leaders, and hear testimonies from survivors of the October 7 massacre, including singer and Nova music festival survivor Yuval Raphael.
